Program

As one of the largest multi-sectoral convenings to advance gender equality, the Women Deliver 2023 Conference program is co-created by grassroots advocates, civil society, governments, the private sector, multilateral organizations, philanthropies, and youth. The program has been designed in partnership with hundreds of organizations spanning diverse sectors and areas of expertise with input from thousands of individuals during the Global Community Consultation.

  • Plenary Stage

    The Women Deliver Plenary Stage is where the fiercest and most influential voices of the feminist community unite. Through inspiring speeches, thought-provoking dialogues, and an unwavering commitment to girls’ and women’s health and rights, speakers will mobilize collective action and propel us all toward a world where every girl and woman is treated with equality, respect, and dignity.

  • Concurrent Sessions and Workshops

    Concurrent sessions are moderated discussions and interactive workshops that provide a space for delegates to delve into key issues, gain knowledge from expert speakers, and enhance their advocacy skills.

  • Pre-Conferences

    Pre-Conferences will provide participants with many opportunities to exchange best practices and coordinate on shared priorities. Pre-Conferences will focus on a wide range of topics, including climate action, maternal health, bodily autonomy, adolescents, youth, and more. Pre-Conferences will take place on July 16 and 17.

  • Culture Night

    Culture Night is a longstanding tradition at Women Deliver Conferences and a way for the Host Country to showcase their traditions and culture. The Government of Rwanda is excited to welcome you to Kigali and to share an evening of food and entertainment. Culture Night will take place after the Opening Ceremony on 17 July.

  • Arts & Film Festival

    Get ready to be immersed in a dynamic and inspiring celebration of art and film at the highly anticipated WD2023 Arts & Film Festival. For three unforgettable days, the festival will be a hub for creativity, innovation, and thought-provoking conversation, as artists from all over the world come together to showcase their artwork, share powerful stories, and explore the lives and wellbeing of girls and women worldwide, including via art displays, performances, and film screenings.

  • Solidarity Space

    The Solidarity Space is designed for self-organized, self-facilitated, semi-structured dialogues that enable communities to network, discuss common goals and priorities, and identify ways to strengthen solidarity and advance collective action. The Solidarity Space will be designed for delegates from specific regions, communities, and sectors to connect.

  • Youth Zone

    The Youth Zone is a space for youth attendees, by youth attendees. In the Youth Zone, young people will have the opportunity to network and participate in interactive programming toward strengthening existing intergenerational partnerships and energizing youth and feminist movements for collective action and accountability.

  • Wellbeing Space

    Caring for ourselves and caring for each other is essential to sustaining our movement. The Wellbeing Space, open to all delegates, will have programming focused on rest, reflection, and collective care.

  • Partner Side Events

    Throughout WD2023, 100+ side events will be hosted by WD2023 partners and sponsors. Organizing a partner side event is a fantastic way to engage with Conference participants, share knowledge and evidence, conduct a workshop, host a reception, and more!

  • Exhibition Space

    The Women Deliver 2023 Conference provides exhibitors the opportunity to showcase their organization’s work, share knowledge and solutions, and network with delegates from around the world.

  • Virtual Conference

    Can’t make it to WD2023 in person? Join the dialogue online! Register here for the WD2023 Virtual Conference (July 17 – 20) and participate in WD2023 from the comfort of your home, office, or anywhere in the world using your laptop, PC, or smartphone.

  • Global Dialogue

    The Global Dialogue provides an opportunity for advocates to design and lead workshops, hold discussions, and network on key issues they want addressed in the lead up to the Women Deliver Conference. Events will take place in communities around the world and virtually.

  • Generation Equality Impact Fest

    The Generation Equality Impact Fest, hosted by UN Women, is an opportunity for current and new stakeholders and commitment-makers to share existing commitments, generate ideas for new commitments, and discuss new ways of expanding and energizing Generation Equality. It is hoped that the conversations, new ideas, networking, and partnerships for Generation Equality seeded at Women Deliver will result in new commitments and other announcements at the September 2023 Midpoint Moment. The day will include a high-level opening session; sessions on catalytic impact and accountability and underserved and underfunded areas of commitment that can be reinvigorated; and a session for newcomers to Generation Equality.   

  • Africa Mobilization

    Partners from the region are co-creating and leading on an Africa-focused agenda to leverage WD2023 and uplift key regional policy priorities, including the 20th anniversary of the Maputo Protocol.  

  • International Conference on Population and Development (ICPD30) Mobilization

    Join us at Women Deliver for a special session on the 30 year review of the International Conference on Population and Development (ICPD). Together with UNFPA and partners, we’ll engage in reflective discussion, reaffirm commitments, and strategize for the future.Connect with diverse stakeholders, including activists, policymakers, youth leaders, and more. Through engaging conversations, we’ll mobilize action and ensure people-centered development includes sexual and reproductive health and rights for all. Don’t miss this platform for advocacy, dialogue, and exchange.
